Tracy grew up in a family with Boxers. Her parents owned, showed and bred them. Her 82 year old mother still has them today. AR & Beverly Hendrickson bred their bitch to Ch Treceder’s Sequel SOM in 1967. This resulted in Ch Rounsaville’s Vibrant Vogue (FB-69). The owners – Carl W & Mary L Rounsaville were from Tulsa, Okla. Tracy grew up in the Tulsa area and now lives on three acres in Broken Arrow. She titled her first Boxer in obedience at age 13 and was hooked.

Tracy opened her own Veterinary Laboratory in 1981 to provide laboratory services to veterinarians in all 50 states. An outgrowth of this was a canine blood bank. She sold the lab in 2006 and now has the Companion Pets Animal Blood Bank. Her Boxers and several belonging to other breeders in the Tulsa area, being universal donors, have saved the lives of thousands of dog in the surrounding area. The blood bank donates a percentage of the profits to Tulsa Boxer Rescue Assn.

Tracy started American Boxer Rescue Assn. & Tulsa Boxer Rescue Assn. in 1990. She was president for 12 years and is still a major contributor. Her booth at ABC contributes to both with collars, clocks and other original art along with “Balls on a Rope”, etc. Tracy has served for several years on the Obedience Performance Awards Committee which she now chairs. She joined ABC in 1992 and is a member of Boxer Club of Oklahoma, serving as Show Chair for Performance at the 2008 Regional. She received the ABC Good Sportsmanship Award in 2003. Tulsa Dog Training Club and Companion Dog School of Tulsa have Tracy as a member since 1980. 

Anyone that knows Tracy knows it’s all about performance and having fun - each dog being a team with her. She competes and trains extensively in Obedience, Agility and Rally – both AKC & UKC. She has put over 200 working dog titles on her dogs – all of whom are her breeding (with the exception of a rescue Lab). These titles also include Schutzhund, herding, and therapy dog work. She has been invited and competed numerous times to the National Obedience Invitational, representing our breed. Tracy has also bred several title holders owned by other top competitors such as Peggy McConnell and Larrie Moody. Three of the 4 Boxers to attain the coveted OTCH (obedience Ch) title are Sunchase Boxers.

Writing is also one of Tracy’s talents. She has shared her knowledge and has written and published many articles on the health, training and socializing   the Boxer.  Many breed books contain her dog’s famous group pictures with 10 or more dogs at complete attention.  Tracy has also judged numerous conformation sweepstakes and obedience fun matches and hopes to continue to judge more in the future.  She also has been an agility and obedience instructor for over 15 years at her local dog clubs. 

Tracy has competed in force at every ABC trail since they were reinstated in 1995 with Jud Streicher judging. She had 4 entered that year –  Moonlight Madness, Raised on Rainbows, Fashionably Late & Peach of a Pair.

Tracy’s first champions were from a litter in 1984 out of her Golden Holly of Norbourne CDX out of her first litter. The litter by Ch Moss Woods Krispy Kritter, owned by her friend and handler Pat Edwards, resulted in two champions – Ch Sun Chases Showbiz Kid CDX (BD-86), Ch Sun Chases’ Solar Eclipse CD (FB-86) & Sun Chases Moonlight Madness CDX. Sun Chase Peach of a Pair CD was the result of a 1989 breeding between Showbiz Kid & Moonlight Madness.

OTCH Sunchase’s No Spiked Heels UDX (Carmelita), bred and co-owned by Tracy, was co-owned and trained by Larrie Moody. This was the first of Tracy’s breeding to achieve an OTCH (Obedience Champion in 2003) and only the second Boxer in the history of the breed. Carmelita received the ABC Special Performance Award in 2003.  She was the result of a breeding between Sunchase’s Jumpstart M’Heart CD and Ch Rochil’s Grande Marshall SOM LOM

Show Biz Kid produced Ch Sunchase’s Sundance Kid CD OA OAJ (FD-95) in 1993. Solar Eclipse produced Ch Sunchase’s Razed on Rainbows CD (BB-93) in 1987. In 1991 Solar Eclipse was bred to Grande Marshall & produced Ch Sunchase’s Hollywood Hype CDX (FB-96). Hollywood Hype was HIT at ABC 1997 – the first one for the Sunchase Team.

She next bred Razed on Rainbows to Ch Shieldmont’s Let’s Make A Deal SOM LOM in 1993 and got Sunchase-Emeralds Deal Me In CD OA NAJ co-owned with Mary Green and U-ATCHX U-CDX, ICh Sunchase’s Fashionably Late PDOM UD Ber.CD OA OAJ NAJP NAP AXJP TDI HIC CGC TT (BB-95). Krissy was HIT-AP at ABC 2003 and was Best Veteran in 2004. She was the first and only ABC Performance Dam of Merit.

Fashionably Late was bred to Ch Holly Lane’s Spin A Dream in 1997 and produced:

U-CDX U-AG I U-AG II Sunchase’s Caught Peeking UDX OA OAJ HIC TT CGC(E.Carter) HIT-SA 2003 and

U-AGI U-AGII U-ATCH U-CDX  ICH Sunchase’s Zero to Hero UDX MXJ MXI RN CGC TDI AD HIC BH Ber.CD VCC VCCX.  (BD-99)  (Spencer). Spencer is the highest titled Boxer in history. He was WD at the 1998 Regional at 10 mos. He was ABC HIT in 1999; HC 5/20/2005 and recipient of the 2006 ABC Performance Events Award.

Bred to Sundance Kid in 1998 she produced: U-CDX Sunchase’s Bleached Blonde CDX AX AXJ RA;  HIT ABC 2004 & HC 2008  and OTCH Sunchase’s Smokin’ In Havana UDX . Owned by Larrie Moody & Tracy. He was High Combined at ABC 5/1/2004, HIT 5/8/2005 & 5/10/05 and both High In Trial and High Combined at the 5/6/2007 ABC. He was awarded the ABC Top Obedience Boxer in 2001 and in 2007 was awarded the Special Obedience Award for becoming the third OTCH Boxer.

Hollywood Hype was also bred to Dealer. She produced Ch Sunchase’s MGM Grande CD (FB-98) and ICH Sunchase’s Suicide Blonde (BB-98) known to all as “Chili”. Chili became the most titled Boxer in history – 47 in all. U-ATCHX  U-AGI  U-AGII  U-CD  U-CDX  U-UD  U-CH U-OTCH INT’LCh Sunchase’s Suicide Blonde CD (Am/Can/Ber), UDX  AX  AXJ  OAJP  AXP  RN  TT  TDI  CGD  BH  AD  VCC  VCCX  VO  H.I.C. Chili was the ABC Top Performance Boxer in 2001, 1st UKC Obedience Trial Champion Boxer and in 2003 was number one Obedience Boxer in the Front & Finish ratings and ABC HC 5/2/2004.

Suicide Blonde was bred to Ch Hi-Tech’s Johnny J of Boxerton SOM LOM and produced  U-CD  U-AGI  U-AGII  Ch Sunchase’s Blonde Moment UDX AX AXJ AJP OAP CGC (FB-03) (Mindy) the 2003 ABC Top Obedience Boxer, 2005 HIT-SA (Std. Agility), and HC 5/3/2008; Ch OTCH Sunchase’s Texas Margarita UDX2 RN (BB-05) owned by Peggy McConnell and the ABC HIT 2003, 5/7/2006, HIT & HC 5/8/2007 and HIT 5/4/2008 and U-AGI U-AGII U-CDX Sundance’s Dirty White Boy CDX AX AXJ CGC (Rawley). Rawley was HIT at the 2003 Denver Regional and #1 Obedience Boxer in the 2003 Front & Finish ratings.

Sunchase’s Moment in Time UD NA NAJ was bred to Ch Maxl’s Golden Boy SOM in 2001 and they had Sunchase’s Boy Toy UDX AXJ OA RN NAP (Wilson). He was hit 5/1/2004 and the 2004 & 2007 ABC Top Obedience Boxer. His sister, owned by Ella DuPree holds several titles in NADAC Agility - Sunchase’s Pajama Party at Carousel SS PS1 PD1 (SS – Starter Snooker, PS1 – Performance 1 Standard, PD1 – Performance Dog 1)
